Field Trips
In Australia we will take four, one-week field trips:
Moreton Bay Research Station, North Stradbroke Island:
Marine and terrestrial ecology (Here's what a previous year's trip was like.)
Heron Island Southern Great Barrier Reef:
Snorkeling and SCUBA diving (if certified)
Lamington National Forest:
A subtropical rain forest (Here's what a previous year's trip was like.)
Saddler Springs Cattle Station:
A 30,000 acre ranch in the Australian bush with 700 cattle and many more wild kangaroos and wallabies. (Here's what a previous year's trip was like.)

In New Zealand
we will travel continuously, visiting, among other things:
- The Southern Alps and the Alpine Fault zone
- Thermal springs and unusual flora and fauna near Rotorua
- A meal of traditional Moari fare, cooked underground
- Volcanos of the North Island
