DON'T LET THE SMOKE get in your eyes. After the hike out to Battleship Spur, we celebrated with a barbecue over a campfire. Here the students cook the steaks, sausages, and vegetables that we enjoyed for dinner.

Damper THE NEXT DAY, rain kept us in camp all day. But the dampness didn't dampen our spirits. Several students learned to make damper, a biscuit-like bread made a pot on the coals of the campfire.
