Lady Elliot Island

Australian Post Card

21 October 1998

From Mrs. Glover

Welcome to Lady Elliot Island which is the southern most island in the Great Barrier Reef. It was formed by broken pieces of coral and clam shells. People come here to dive and snorkel. The island is small enough to walk around in about 45 minutes.

Tropic Bird These are redtailed tropic birds sitting in their nest. They are quite rare and very beautiful birds. Can you tell which is the mom and which is the baby?
