From Mrs. Glover

HI! WE'RE DOROTHY AND DIANNE MITCHELL. Mrs. Glover asked us to write you a note. We are in sixth grade at Toowong State School and these are our school uniforms. It's a pretty small school; there's only about 200 kids in grades one through seven. It's a bit different than American schools. School goes from 9 am to 3 pm. There is much more play time; half an hour for "morning tea" and 45 minutes for lunch. We have Chinese classes three days a week and we also have religion. We usually don't have art, but we do have an artist in residence with us at the moment doing a dance program. We are on the girls' softball team. Our team has won all its games but one!

See ya,

Dorothy and Dianne

Brushtail Possum WE SAW THIS Common Brushtail Possum on a fence near our house. We watched it scurry up onto our verandah roof, scuttle across the garage roof and the fence, and finally clamber up a tree. Sometimes at night we walk around our neighborhood and look for possums. As well as brushtails, we also see ringtail possums. They scamper across the road, run along telephone wires like squirrels, and climb around in trees. On a few occasions we have have seen mother and baby possums. They're really cute!
