Scattered across Fraser Island are many scenic lakes, each with its own
characteristics. Some are crystal clear while others are tea-colored like this one which is
called Lake Wabby. This lake contains about twelve species of fish.
Fraser Island is an island made up completely of sand but is amazing because it
has a rainforest growing on it.
This is Lake McKenzie which is also a fresh water lake. The bleached white
sand surrounding the lake is almost pure quartz and forms a wonderful contrast with the
clear blue water.
