PRESENTATIONS. On our last night on the island, each group of students presented preliminary results from their field projects. Here a group of students presents work that they did on hermit crab shell selection. They studied whether differet species of crabs prefer particular shell types. They also carried out a "shell exchange" study where hermit crabs were presented with a variety of shells of the same size which they could (an often did) exchange for their own.
