Assignment #2: Sound

Create a 1 (1.5 minute max) sound composition that uses only noises (no tonal or "musical" sounds or narration). The composition should not rely on conventional methods used in song or musical construction. Your piece must use original recorded sound, but may also incorporate appropriated sound, either from web-based sound-clip databases or from altered “found” media.

Choose one of the following assignments:

1) Create a soundscape of a real or imagined place. The listener should come away from your piece with a 3 dimensional impression of your chosen place, created entirely with your choice of sounds.

Or:

2) Create a sound sculpture. Your sound piece should in some way relate to, enhance, or interact with your chosen object. Your object could be found or created. Make sure to bring both the object and the sound
