This course explores the creation of time-based art. Digital video will be a primary tool for recording and manipulating time, and additional tools used may include sound, performance, installation, electronics and photography. Emphasis will be placed on creating conceptual works that engage artists and audience in a deeper understanding of current issues and human experience. Students will create original works of art that will be challenged and enriched by the critique process.
