When we bought our home, we had some special circumstances. We were in town for the weekend, and needed to do everything the day before Easter Sunday. We rolled in off the red-eye from Seattle at 10am, were shown houses for a few hours until we found the one we wanted. Our offer was accepted by midnight the same day, and Andy was with us every step of the way. We committed the cardinal sin of telling our realtor what we would be willing to pay, and when we told him what we wanted to offer, he recommended that we try for even lower. Getting a lower price would hurt his pocketbook, so we thought we'd come in pretty close to our maximum price, certainly no lower than our stated minimum. By the time our offer was accepted, Andy saved us two thousand dollars below our MINIMUM price. As a result of the effectiveness of our whirlwind experience, and the money he saved us, we recommend him to everyone moving to Rochester with our fullest confidence.

When we arrived in Rochester to look for and buy a new house, we were given Andy Philippone's name by a number of residents who bought their houses from him. Andy dedicated 4 days to us. During the first 2 days, we looked at 21 houses. This was an exhausting process made very comfortable by Andy and his constant assurances that we would find the house that we were looking for. Once we decided on the house that we wanted, Andy took care of everything in a very timely manner. The house was inspected the very next day and we left Rochester feeling very confident that Andy would take care of everything.
You can be assured that Andy has your best interest at heart. We wanted to make an offer on a house during our first day of searching. We were ready to buy this house but Andy told us NOT to buy it. I've never heard of a real estate agent telling a client NOT to buy a house. We were adamant that we wanted the house and he had his wife look up figures about houses selling in that neighborhood and he brought us numbers to prove that houses weren't necessarily reselling in that area. He went out of his way so that we DIDN'T buy the house. In hindsight, we are grateful that Andy stopped us from buying that house and to continue looking.
Andy is a talker, he is full of stories about Rochester. He could probably tell you where every OB resident lives and he is a big fan of the Pittsford Wegmans. I would gladly go back to Andy for any of our future real estate deals.
