This is an international organization which began in Norway.  Along with her aunt, Michelle founded the first FIOH chapter in the US 3 years ago. ( The 501-c3 name is FIOH- USA )  The main purpose of this organization is to raise funds to support the programs which are run by Future In Our Hands in East Africa.   The Programs include:   * Sponsoring students in high school and college by paying their school fees (about 30 students are currently being sponsored) * Building wells for safe clean, drinking water (we have built 13 wells so far) * Providing transportation for people with HIV/AIDS to get their antiretroviral drugs * Providing micro-loans for 12 women’s groups to assist in income generating activities. * Providing children’s books for local schools that lack reading materials.   International Women’s Day Tea Reception (Intercultural Affairs House) white house next to Scandling Center Multiple Voices Speaker Series (Geneva Room) featuring 17-20 guest speakers Lunch and Networking (Library Atrium) Workshop Session 1 (Stern) Workshop Session 2 (Stern) Deidre McCalla (Albright Auditorium) Text Box: mission statement Text Box: schedule Text Box: register Text Box: workshops Text Box: multiple voices speaker series
