Internet
Examine information from the
Internet carefully before using it for research purposes. Always be aware of who is responsible for the
material, and what credentials they have for writing on the subject(s).
From Prof. Kinne: On-line, many
states have water resource divisions and those are good places to look for
information about water transfers in those states. (Find State Enviromental Agencies listed here)
Other key words to search on-line
are basin, trans-basin, organization, agreement, non-profit, watershed,
association, streamkeeper, water resources, water
board, etc. This approach will help pick up water basin management non-profits
or municipal bodies that are involved with policing, managing or lobbying for
or against a given transfer.
