Costs: The price of ethanol production can be broken down into three main cost components.
-
• Capital Investment
-
• Operation and Management
-
• Feedstock
Revenue: Ethanol plants earn income from the sale of ethanol and the byproducts created in the production process.
Simulator: A small simulation of the different expenses which effect the production cost of ethanol. The variable prices can be manipulated to mimic any possible fluctuations of input requirements needed for the production of ethanol. This simulator was created by William Mills, Justin Bauer, and Patrick Sahradnik.
Comparison: Comparing the price of ethanol with the prices of other related fuels including gasoline and MTBE.
Energy Balance: Is ethanol an energy efficient resource?
