"Synthesis of Mixed Ruthenium bipy-tpy Complexes"

Patchett Summer Research Scholar

Angie is the daughter of James and Shari Dann, of Marathon, New York. Angie is pursuing a majorin chemistry with a minor in women's studies. She is currently conducting research working on the preparation of ruthenium materials that may be candidates molecular wire electron transport. She is a midfielder for the William Smith Herons field hockey team, a member of the HWS chemistry club, and a student affiliate of the American Chemical Society. Angie is a Helen Heath scholar, a faculty scholar, a member of the Deans List, and a Heron scholar athlete.

Clarence Rolle

"Preparation of Terpyridine Substituted Cobalticinium Hexafluorophosphate Salts"

Provost Summer Research Scholar

Clarence is the son of Clarence Rolle II and Carolyn Rolle. He is currently doing research on the molecular design of molecular wire candidates containing carbonylcobalticinium units. As a freshman, Clarence received the Chemical Rubber Company First Year Achievement Award. Throughout the past year he has served as a TA for introductory chemistry and was a public relations officer for the Caribbean Student Association.

Pria Young

"Synthesis of Substituted Chlorocarbonyl Ferrocenes and their Reactions with Phenoxy Substituted Terpyridines"

Merck AAAS Summer Scholar

Pria is pursuing a chemistry major with minors in Women's studies and english. Young, the daughter of Ruth Derby and Andrew Young from Richboro PA, plays on both the William Smith Soccer and Basketball teams. She is currently conducting research working on the synthesis of unique ferrocene containing materials that may be used in molecular devices. She is a member of the Chemistry Club, the Health Professions Club, and Core 20. Pria is a Trustee Scholar, a Heron scholor athlete, and a member of the Deans List.
