Early on when I started collecting antique animal traps, I had a strong interest in a few particular trap companies that were located in

upstate New York near where I grew up. The FLOTRAP was manufactured for a short time in Cazenovia, New York and was meant to be

used as a floating muskrat trap. It is really nothing more than a couple of boards mounted together by a spring at one end. Cazenovia is

a short drive from where I grew up and I've spent many many hours in the historical society and town

library up there researching this trap.
