Reina

Reina Apracz

Reina is a sophomore at William Smith College, she is double majoring in Studio Arts and Media and Society. She is from the not so far away city of Syracuse, New York. At HWS her favorite place to sit down and have a meal is at the cafe, the only thing that improves the experience is eating during her favorite season of autumn. She loves when the leaves have all changed, bright color surrounds the campus and the seasonal weather lets her cozy up in a warm jacket and enjoy the cool crisp air. Some things that interest her most are, theater, puzzles, reading comics, watching films or video, and obviously art. Specifically in the art realm her favorite medium is either drawing, collage, or a combination of the two. Her favorite artists are Manet, Kirasowa, Coco Fusco, and R Crumb. I asked Reina to describe the most beautiful place she had ever been. She answered the windy city of Chicago, for its consistent motion and direction towards progress, with its beautiful architecture, she remembers it for the place her family immigrated to from Bogota, Columbia; which happens to be her next big destination when she be goes abroad in the fall. When Reina isn't at the cafe, enjoying Coco Fusco, or the crisp autumn air, she can often be found cheering on her favorite college lacrosse or football teams.

alex Alex Corwin
  Emily Cronin
andrew Andrew Emerson is a junior at Hobart, he is currently majoring in studio Art and Architecture and is expected to graduate in 2010. Andrew is from Acton, Massachusetts but was born in Minnesota. He likes to engage his artistic abilities specifically in art, design, and architecture. His favorite media to use in his work is wood but he also wants to use watercolor in the future. His favorite artist is Edward hopper. Andrew also enjoys snowboarding and camping, he has joined a fraternity named Delta Chi, and he ensures us that they serve him the best food on the campus. His favorite season is winter and he enjoys watching football. Even though Andrew’s favorite season is the winter, and Geneva’s winter satisfies him, he describes the most beautiful place he has ever encountered: top of the island of Capri, Italy. The weather was extremely sunny and bright the day Andrew visited this magical place. He took a boat to the island and then drove half way up, and eventually walked the rest of the way. During the walk lemon and orange trees surrounded him. The steps to the top were broken and they led to the highest point of the island. There were roman rooms at the top and Andrews describes it as a “lost city” feel.

He has an older sister and a younger brother.
