Bat Generator: Basic Principles

A low-powered light source creates a high-density feeding area inside the dome. The open structure of the geodesic dome allows bats to fly to capture prey.

The sound energy emitted from the bat that is not reflected back to the bat is captured by nodes at the junctions of the dome.

The nodes are based on the principles behind a human ear- audible sound waves are transformed into mechanical energy, then back into an electrical current.
